What is Diff-Quik Stain?

Used for staining of blood cell smears and vaginal secretions (gynecological leukorrhea) smears. Diff-Quik Stain is prepared by the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended staining method. Like Wright Stain, it is improved by using the principle of Romanowsky Stain. And the staining results are similar. However, Diff-Quik Stain takes a relatively short time and the staining can be completed in about 1 minute. It is more suitable for batch dipping, which saves staining time, clear background and no sediment.

Staining Result

RBC appear light red, the cytoplasmic granules in WBC is clear, and various cells display their distinctive colors. Nucleus is purple-red, and the nuclear chromatin structure is clear.
